Drafts and published versions

A draft is a skill configuration that hasn't been published yet. The draft can be submitted for moderation and returned for development.

After the skill is approved, you can send it for publication by clicking Publish. After the draft is published, Yango Dialogs fixes the published version and provides you with a new draft for editing.

If you already published a skill, draft moderation doesn't affect how the skill is displayed in the Yango Play app:

  • You can publish the new version to replace the old one.
  • If the draft doesn't pass moderation, the current version remains published.

Managing a published skill

After you publish a skill, you can adjust its responses without having to pass moderation again. But keep in mind that a skill may be blocked if its functionality differs from its description.

You can change the published version or remove it:

  • To edit the configuration or description of a published skill, change the necessary settings in the draft and submit it for moderation.

  • You can disable the skill for users (moderation must again be passed afterwards):

    1. Open the skill page in the developer console.
    2. Go to the General tab.
    3. Click Stop dialog (at the bottom of the page, under the event history).

If you want to start from scratch, the Delete dialog button permanently deletes both the published version of the skill and the current draft.
